WHO IS MELDA DOGAN?
A trilingual professional journalist
and digital content producer
I'm a trilingual communications professional, journalist, and digital content producer with over 10 years of international experience in broadcast, digital media, and strategic communications.
I began my journalism career at TRT World in 2016 as an output producer and later a field producer, covering major international news—including Turkey's 2017 referendum, the 2018 presidential elections, and military operations in Syria.
In 2018, I earned a Master's in International Development from King's College London on a scholarship, while continuing to report and produce for TRT World across London and Europe.
By 2019, I transitioned into digital journalism, creating multimedia storytelling and explanatory reporting for global audiences in English, French, and Turkish.
In 2022, my investigative short documentary on lab-grown meat went viral, sparking international debate and leading me to independent and freelance multimedia production.
In 2024, I served as Strategic Communications Lead for UNESCO in Nairobi, Kenya, managing communications and public information across Eastern Africa.
In 2025, I worked as a news presenter for Asia One News, anchoring live breaking news and delivering on-air editorial coverage.
Beyond journalism, I have produced and co-produced several award-winning short narrative films screened at international festivals in the United States and Europe.
My short film Etiquette was selected for the Philadelphia Women's Film Festival as part of an international program exploring social behavior and identity.
Another short, The Elevator, screened at the Salerno International Film Festival in Italy, where it was recognized for its atmospheric storytelling and psychological tension.
I also co-produced Gamer Hunter, a stylized short film exploring digital culture and identity, featured in international festival programs.
Across my film work, I focus on visual storytelling, human behavior, and socially driven narratives—bridging my journalism background with independent cinematic production.
Today, I work across journalism, strategic communications, and multimedia production—delivering high-impact content for international audiences in English, French, and Turkish.
